Easter Sunday is fast approaching, here’s a round-up of some of the happenings going on around town! Not a whole lot going on, but I hope this helps y’all find something to do!
-Sweetwater Branch Inn is serving a brunch buffet on Easter Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM that includes a variety of quiches, a carving station, homemade crepes, shrimp & grits, and more! Gluten-free options are available. Call 352-373-6760 to make reservations before Wednesday, March 28th.
-Embers Wood Grill is serving a brunch buffet from 10:30 AM to 3 PM at $45 a person ($15 for children 6 and under). Items will include standard breakfast fare, omelet station, short ribs, salmon, duck breast cassoulet, New York strip, ham, and a variety of fresh desserts. Call 352-380-0901 to reserve your table.
-Francesca’s Trattoria is serving a buffet from 10 AM to 6 PM on Easter Sunday with a carving station, waffle station, brunch items, and salads. At 3 PM, they will switch out breakfast items with a variety of entrees like a Salmon Picatta, Chicken Francaise, and a Pasta Carbonara station. Cost is $34.95 a person and $16.95 for children ages 10 and under. Reservations recommended by calling 352-378-7152.
-The Best Western Gateway Grand Hotel will be serving a buffet from 11 AM to 3 PM. No menu or price information was indicated. Call 352-331-3336 for more information and to make reservations.
-If you’re looking for something that’s not a buffet, First Magnitude Brewing Company is hosting their monthly “Birds & Brews” event. A guided tour by the Alachua Audobon Society will head for Depot Park around 5 PM for a bird walk (binoculars and bird guides provided) and return to the brewery at 6 PM so you can enjoy some tasty beverages. The event is free and kid-friendly!
