The News - Valentine's Day

A good number of you lovebirds have asked, and now I shall answer. Here’s a round-up of Valentine’s Day happenings around town. I have to say there’s not too much this year, but I will do my best to round them up for you. Annnnnnnnnnd go!

 

-Embers is doing a special 5-Course meal on both February 13th and the 14th. Price is $100 a person with wine pairings and specialty cocktails available. -Emiliano’s is offering a 4-Course meal on Valentine’s Day at $55 a person. Full menu is available on their website: http://www.emilianoscafe.com. Call 352-375-7381 for reservations.

 

-Swamp Head Brewery is hosting a Valentine’s Day cookie and beer tasting. They’ve brewed 4 special Valentine’s-inspired beers to pair with cookie flights by Midnight Cookies. The event starts at 4 PM and runs until 10 PM.

 

-First Magnitude is hosting a Valentine’s Day event of their own with a cupcake and beer pairing featuring sweets by Patticakes. Food will also be provided by Conch Catering. They will also be showing Crazy Stupid Love on the big screen inside the warehouse. It’ll be a beer, cupcakes, and movie evening! Event starts at 7 PM and runs until 9 PM.

 

-The Fat Tuscan Café will be hosting a couple’s cooking class and dinner at $100 a person. The event runs from 6 PM to 9 PM and has limited seating, so go to http://www.fattuscan.com/classschedule.html for tickets. Dinner will be a 4-Course meal and you will learn how to make your own gnocchi and pasta!

 

-Francesca’s Trattoria will be hosting a two day event. February 13th will feature live jazz at dinner time. February 14th will be a special Valentine’s Day menu with lobster, prime rib, and pastas. Reservations are recommended by calling 352-378-7152
