Mothers Day 2017 Specials

May 13, 2017

Oh crap! Mother’s Day is tomorrow! Don’t be a terrible child like me and take your moms out to a tasty meal tomorrow, here’s a roundup of just a few places where you can treat yo mamas. And here’s a disturbing picture of me and my mom vomiting rainbows.

-Root & Pecker is bringing back their brunch for one day only going from 10 AM till 3 PM. They serve what are probably the strongest mimosas in all the land. So if mama wants that champagne citrus treat, mama gets that champagne citrus treat. Oh, and their sourdough waffles are pretty bomb! Full menu posted on their Facebook page.

-Sabore is rolling out a Mothers Day buffet brunch that will feature pastries, quiche, tortilla espanola, lobster mac & cheese, prime rib, salmon, chicken, shrimp, oysters, and more. $50 a person or $15 for kids ages 3 to 16. Adults get one complimentary cocktail per person. They will also have live music! Service starts at 10 AM.

-Sweetwater Branch Inn’s brunch buffet will go from 11 AM to 2 PM for $26 per adult and $14 per child. No menu is available…so if you’re in the mood for surprises, this will be a good one.

-Francesca’s Trattoria will also be doing a buffet featuring made-to-order omelets, chicken, lamb chops, French toast, salads, and more for $34.95 a person + gratuity and tax, with children under 10 for $16.95. Moms receive a complimentary mimosa or glass of Chardonny.

-If you prefer to do lunch or dinner, Bangkok Square is giving out a glass of complimentary house wine of your choice to all moms.

-If brunching or fooding in general is not your thing, First Magnitude Brewing Company will be hosting Brewery Yoga from 1 PM to 2 PM. A suggested $5 donation gets you in. Bring your own mat! Then enjoy tasty beer!

-Or if for whatever reason, Sunday doesn’t work out…take your mom to Crane Ramen’s special Wahn Jai Thai Night on Monday. A lot of people don’t know, but Chef Steve spent years cooking in Thailand. From 7 PM till 11:30 PM, they’ll be doing dishes like sticky rice, papaya shrimp salads, grilled beef and mint salads, pork bone thom kha, grilled pork jowl, and coconut custard. All with Thai-inspired cocktails.
