The News 12/1

December 1, 2016

We’ve got some fun stuff in the pipeline, so while this won’t be the usual big update, here’s another round of the news!

- Chef Steve Grimes at Crane Ramen will be hosting a Sushi Omakase event on December 12th. Some of you may not know, but Steve spent over a decade as a sushi chef who learned from chefs in Japan and worked everywhere from San Diego to Bangkok to New York. This will be a 12 course sashimi tasting with limited seatings at 5 PM, 7 PM, and 9 PM on December 12th. Fish is being brought in from the famous Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo as well as local fisheries. $120 a person ($45 for a sake supplement) and available now. Call Crane Ramen at 352-727-7422 to reserve your seat.

-If you haven’t already reserved your seat for my upcoming event with The Spins, do so now! We have a few spots available. On Wednesday, December 7th…join me on The Spins party cycle downtown as we tour 4 of my favorite spots. Your ticket will include a 2.5 hour ride with me, food at Crane Ramen, Mojo BBQ, Emilianos, a cocktail of your choice at Whiskey House, and some goodies from The Spins. -LEJ Pretzel is hosting another Decemberfest even at their shop tomorrow, December 2nd. From 5 PM to  PM, enjoy $4 fresh made pretzels and German beers. Live music will begin at 6 PM in their beer garden! RSVP on their Facebook event and get a free mini beer mug! https://www.facebook.com/events/330692767313209/

-High Dive will be hosting another Food Truck Rally this coming Saturday, December 3rd from 3 PM to 10 PM. In addition to an array of food trucks, they will be showing the SEC Championship game inside High Dive as well as in the beer garden.

-The new Longhorn Steakhouse, Culver’s, and Olive Garden are all having their grand openings on the same day. December 5th, all three will open their doors in Butler North. While I couldn’t care less about the Longhorn or Olive Garden, Culver’s does have some delicious shakes, fried cheese curds, and butter burgers.

-Speaking of Butler, I have some exciting news to share with everyone regarding the Butler Town Center very soon. I’m waiting on the OK to do so. But I think you guys are going to like it. Any guesses?
