Made In Gainesville: TailGator's Tea

TailGator's Tea

2 oz High West Double Rye (you can find it at Dorn's liquors) 1.5 oz ice tea (not sweetened) 1 oz lemonade 1 oz unfiltered Apple Juice 4-5 mint leaves

Combine all ingredients and shake hard! Strain it all out into a pint glass with fresh ice (to keep it colder longer) and garnish with a mint sprig dipped in powdered sugar!

Fall in Gainesville is the perfect time for a cocktail like this. It's still warm enough to want something cool and refreshing to drink, but cool enough to relax outside comfortably. Think of it like a fancy, boozy Arnold Palmer, this drink is easy to make and even easier to finish. Serve it up at your next tailgate or BBQ!

This week's recipe is brought to you by TJ Palmieri. He has been standing behind bars all over Miami and Gainesville for the last twelve years. Currently at the helm of 2nd Street Speakeasy, he has overseen cocktail programs in multiple award winning locations including Dragonfly and the James Beard nominated Yardbird Southern Table in Miami Beach.
